He Loved Me Not
by Lainee Thompson
About the Book
This debut poetry collection from author Lainee Thompson explores the array of emotions fighting through a difficult marriage and subsequent divorce. After finding out her childhood friend turned husband was actually an abusive narcissist, Lainee had to leave the marriage for the sake of her child and herself. It left scars for both, and left her wondering if she was a good mother. She vents these thoughts and feelings of a broken home, self-doubt, and ultimately renewed hope and independence in this collection. The book is split into three parts: “Wilted,” “Transplanted,” and “Wildflower.”
